Francisco Partners acquired Endeavor Information Systems from parent Elsevier. The acquisition comes on the heels of its July purchase of Ex Libris. That firm sells the library system Aleph, used at the K.U.Leuven.

November 3, 2006MIT offers open access for the first time with his ITID-jounral. ITID stands Information Technologies and International Development. It focuses on the intersection of information and communication technologies (ICT) with international development. The editor believes that the audience for ITID will come, not only from academia, but als from the private sector, NGOs, and government.
