Scientific sites invisible on Google

A lot of websites of academic institutes are not found in the top 30 ranking of Google results. Those are the results of research from the Oxford Internet Institute for the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Bureau Van Dijk EP for sale

Candover, which owns about 60pc, has put Bureau van Dijk up for sale in a move that could see the company valued at £500m-£600m.
The private equity group has appointed boutique advisory house Long Acre Partners and investment bank Goldman Sachs to carry out a strategic review of the business. Industry sources said Bureau van Dijk is likely to generate bidding interest from business information publishers Reed Elsevier, Reuters, Pearson and Incisive Media.

This first dissertation 2.0, getiteld, is made by Mediamatic Lab together with Caroline Nevejan. She presents her dissertation in April 2007 at the University of Amsterdam.
